Get Event Fit running programmes are FREE to fundraisers through their chosen charity. Developed in collaboration with coaches of elite athletes, sports professionals and industry experts, their comprehensive programmes are designed to educate, motivate and inspire with detailed running schedules, strength and conditioning exercises, nutritional education, healthy recipes, running mindset, fundraising advice, motivational messages and much, much more – conveniently delivered daily into the Get Event Fit mobile app.
They say it's like having your own personal coach motivating you everyday.
Their structured 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon programmes are easy-to-follow and keep you motivated during your training journey to feel fitter, stronger and better prepared, whilst helping you raise even more money for your charity.
Evie Serventi, Deputy Editor at Running magazine, commented, “Running magazine is delighted to be partnering with Get Event Fit to provide running advice to charity fundraisers. Experts agree that successful event preparation must involve more than simply improving fitness – effective, injury free preparation requires strength and conditioning of the whole body with active recovery strategies, correct nutrition and a positive mindset. Running magazine is focused on helping runners develop a healthy approach towards exercise, to achieve their goals, and we look forward to working with Get Event Fit to better prepare charity fundraisers and help charities raise even more money.”
Chris Mitchell, Managing Director at Get Event Fit, commented, “Unless fundraisers are fully prepared and regularly motivated throughout their training journey they will often struggle to even reach the start line and their charity will lose vital fundraising revenue.
"We created Get Event Fit to uniquely incorporate the daily delivery of fitness, nutrition, active recovery and mindset education to help fundraisers develop an awareness and understanding of the lifestyle changes required to successfully complete their event. Preparing properly for a running event can take months and can be very difficult at times, so applying these learnt skills and techniques will help fundraisers stay motivated and feel inspired.
“Fundraisers deserve the best and they can now have the very best event preparation from their chosen charity with Get Event Fit.”
Charities who already offer their fundraisers Get Event Fit include British Red Cross, Age Scotland, Spinal Research, Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, ActionAid, Walking with the Wounded, Claire House and Blind Veterans UK.
Kate Leah, Fundraising Manager at Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, commented, “Our fundraisers are amazing and we support them as much our busy team will allow. By scheduling the delivery of related fundraiser communications through Get Event Fit, it saves valuable time for our team to offer even more personalised support, and provides our fundraisers with regular motivation and encouragement just when they need it the most – during their difficult training.”
